I'm a Canadian PhD candidate studying philosophy at the University of Alberta. I currently live in Edmonton with my wife, Jennifer, and our two boys. My research interests primarily involve the metaphysics of fundamentality. My dissertation is a critique of metaphysical foundationalism and a defence of a version of the Principle of Sufficient Reason that says "every fact has a ground". I'm currently extending this research to other areas of philosophy including the philosophy of religion (both classical or traditional theism and Advaita Vedānta in Indian philosophy). When I'm not studying philosophy, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, weightlifting, and baking sourdough bread. |
